Ingredients of Beef Stroganoff

  1. It's 400 grams of Beef fillet steak.
  2. It's 2 tbsp of Plain flour.
  3. You need 50 grams of Butter.
  4. You need 1 of Onion, thinly sliced.
  5. It's 1 of Garlic clove, minced.
  6. You need 250 grams of Button mushrooms, sliced.
  7. Prepare 1 cup of Beef stock.
  8. You need 3/4 cup of Sour cream.
  9. It's 1 tbsp of Sweet Worcestershire sauce.
  10. It's 1 1/2 tbsp of Tomato paste.
  11. It's 1 tsp of Smoked paprika.
  12. Prepare 1 of Sea salt & cracked black pepper to taste.
  13. You need 1/4 cup of Chopped fresh parsley.

Beef Stroganoff instructions

  1. Dust beef strips in flour, shake off any excess. Melt half the butter in a large fry pan and cook beef in batches until seared all over. Remove and set aside..
  2. Add the rest off the butter and fry onion and garlic until softened..
  3. Add mushys and cook for a further 2 or 3 minutes..
  4. Stir in beef stock, paprika, tomato paste and worcestershire sauce. Season with sea salt and cracked black pepper and allow to simmer for 5 minutes or so- sauce will thicken slightly..
  5. Return the beef (with any juices) and stir in sour cream and simmer for another minute. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve on pasta or rice. Enjoy!.
